Savage muzzle loading Smokeless powder rifle?

I saw this on the Savage website. Its a Muzzle loading smokeless powder rifle. Would this gun be legal to hunt with, where other muzzle loaders (Black Powder) are to be used? It uses the 209 shotgun primers and its a muzzle loader.

Check your state laws and see whether it says "muzzle loader" or blackpowder. If it says blackpowder muzzle loader, then the answer is no (unless you use blackpowder). Heck, I have a replica Ferguson and per se that can't be used for many of the Rendezvous shoots.

Not to hijack the thread, or anything, but...you have a Ferguson! If I may be so bold, could you post pics/information about where you got it? I'd love to lay hands on one of those puppies. Too cool.

Ditto on seeing the Ferguson. It was featured in a book I read, and I've been interested in them ever since. Didn't find much on the net.
