Hello,

I was a little surprised to see my very serious thread locked down. I noticed that there were many comments of stating "troll".

Here is a photo for proof, it wasn't a troll, it was a possum.

A few of the replies to my orginial thread were very informative. I wish I could have replied.

I made a typo, and wrote "his" instead of "hiss". This critter climbed up onto my oldest son's bed, and woke my son up with his movement. My son managed to at least one eyeball open enough to see the critter hiss at him, he reflexively squimed back, and the critter ran off the bed to under my youngest son's bed.

I realized the floorplan would make it very very difficult for me to catch this one in the laundry room. So, I tried to make the right inebriated decision and wound up grabbing a single cartidge.

Because of where the critter was hiding, I had to lean over the washing machine, hold the rifle in just the left hand, and stretch the right hand, holding a flashlight, towards the door and angle it back so I good get some illumination and contrast to see the sites and target. I realized as I squeezed the trigger, it sure seemed to take an awefull lot of trigger pull, it isn't so easy to do this left handend when you are right handed. I had to retract the rifle, cradle with strong hand holding flashlight, and verify I had indeed got the safetly all the way off; I had. So, I again got in place, looking like a bird trying to flap its wings, and squeezed MUCH harder then I thought I would have to.

As you can see, aim was right on, and the bullet passed inbetween the drier hose and hit the critter behind the shoulder blades.

There IS a waste pipe under the floor in that area, and I believe I accounted for it correctly with the angle that I used. I will take a look later this afternonn.

For those that offered insite, I thank you,

Second try at trolling eh? Where's the photo? You sure you're not Gecko45? Someone call Jeff Foxworthy - "If you get drunker than Cooter Brown, and take potshots at possums in your doublewide while the young'ens are sleeping......."

Possum's aren't very sturdy. I fully expected complete penetration, and as can be seen, there is in fact a hole in the floor.
