I have a Colt Govemerment Model 1911A1 Series 70 .45 that is NIB, as in never been fired and I still have the box stored away.

Gun is in pistol rug not stored in box.

Gun was built in 1976. That makes it 32 years old.

Any one care to give me a value for this firearm? Please. Is it being unfired rare? Or just odd? Worth more than an unfired model?

Thanks folks,

pdxRandy

I think new ones are going for around $800 to $850; I also saw a nickel Government, LNIB, on one of the auction sites, with a Buy Now price of $1250. Being unfired and in mint, unused condition does lend it more value as a collectors piece, but with it being the standard Government model doesn't necessarily add a great deal to its rarity.
