How do you guys like your CZ 75s? I've been looking at the CZ 75 SA model. It looks like a nice gun for the money. I liked the feel of the SP 01 model I handled, but wish they would come out with a single action version.

One thing that has me a bit concerned is the price for spare magazines. I see mags going for 50 bucks + on gunbroker. What's the deal? Are the mags currently in short supply or is that just the going rate?

I just bought a CZ 75B SA but I haven't had it at the range yet. I bought it from Ghost Productions. They do custom work including the installation of a SA trigger on any of the DA pistols.

I have a CZ-75B in .40 S&W. I love how the gun feels and shoots... my only complaint is the size (height-wise) of the slide. Not much for my fat hands to grab onto when racking.

I've had mine since 2000. Eats all kinds of ammo w/o a hiccup but best accuracy is with 124gr.

Best 9 FOR THE MONEY in my opinion. I have the 75B. There are better 9's but you have to pay nearly twice as much.

How was the trigger pull on your gun? Can the trigger be tuned to be somewhat "1911 like?"

I have one as well and agree. No complaint about the slide, however; I find it easy to use. To date not one failure.

I shoot / carry a CZ75B that has well over 20k rounds through it, and it still prints better than I can hold.

The only part that has ever given me any trouble is, I've broken a couple of slide stops - but this is supposed to be a known weak point for high round count guns and the replacement part is not expensive. I keep a "newish" one in the pistol for carry, and switch to an old one at the range, so no worries about it breaking if I need the pistol "for real".

If I had to choose another pistol to CCW I would go out and buy another CZ75B.

CDNN used to have mags for ~$20 and may still. I have more than I need so if you do get a CZ that takes the standard CZ75 mag, and can't find some at a reasonable price, let me know.

Some people do not like the creep or camming action on the single action trigger pull, on the standard DA/SA pistol. I got used to it, it is not a problem. The SA model probably does not have this fly-in-the-ointment, but I've never shot one so I don't know. Try the trigger on the one you are thinking of buying.

Anyway, I like mine and I think you will be quite pleased if you get one. You may wish to look at the CZ forum - I don't know if it is considered rule on THR to recommend another Forum so I'll stop here.

Regards,
Andrew

The trigger is crisp for the few times I dry fired the gun. It can be adjusted but I have to read up a bit on that issue. My advice is to let Angus do the work for you if that is what you choose. I'll report more on my newest pistol later in the week.

Very pleased with my PCR Compact. (http://www.cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=37) Magazines are readily available for this one locally at $35-ish. A 16-round for the 9mm full-size is $37 at CZ Custom (http://czcustom.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=60&osCsid=b0d3d66d5c6cb152b02c7e78af891041) and $40 at Midway (http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=335413), so I don't know what the deal is with these Gunbroker sellers.

I have a 75B and love it. I don't think that there is a better 9mm out there.

I have a 75B in .40 S&W. W/ out a doubt the most accurate handgun I own. I got the 12 round Mec-gar mags for 24.95 from Midway

Caution CZs can be habit forming & they tend to breed like rabbits in your gun safe.

I have a 75-B, great handgun, but in this platform I prefer the AR-24. I believe it offers just a little more.
The SA model is the one I have. I have enjoyed it. It is both accurate and fun to shoot. It takes a little while to get use to the CZ trigger, but once you do you will be surprised at the accurracy.

I have a CZ75B. I like the way the gun feels and as others have said, accuracy is good. Unfortunately, mine has issues with the slide locking open while there's still ammo in the magazine. CZ sent me a new slide stop spring which corrected the problem for about 700rds., however, I recently began having the same problem again. The gun is with CZ now and I'm hoping they're able to fix it. I have to say their customer service has been very good, so far.

You can't go wrong with the CZ SA. Don't forget to pick up the Kadet kit.

I'll tell you tomorrow. Just bought the CZ 75B in stainless (bottom right in Mr. Arnold's menagerie above), and will have run at least a hundred round through by this time tomorrow. I've already bought a magazine for the CZ 75 Full Auto for it (25 rounds... it's for range shooting.. honest!) so I have to reload slightly less often.

TS,

Where did you get your 25 round magazine?

I love my CZ75. It's my favorite auto. Plus I'm getting a kadet kit for it very soon.

I have the 75B abd 75D PCR. I think the PCR is the finest, all around 9MM for CCW available.
