If an establishment doesn't allow CCW's

Do you feel they are liable for your safety?
After all, you don't have to patronize their establishment. I'm having a discussion with some folks. Initially I felt that yes, if they take away my right to protect myself, they should be held responsible for protecting me.
But now I'm thinking nobody is forcing me to eat, shop, play, etc on their grounds therefore they aren't responsible for my safety. I won't be happy about it, but I suppose they aren't responsbile.
Thoughts?

Yep,
All you can do is vote with your feet and your dollars.
It's just as bad to say you can't have guns in your own home (private property), as it is to force someone else to allow them in thiers.
Dosen't mean I wouldn't wish they'd see the light though. :)

I don't know if the analogy would fly, but who would be responsible for your safety if you got into a car and the driver wouldn't let you wear your seatbelt?
How about the several incidents recently involving fires in overcrowded clubs without enough exits? Who's responsible then?

I probably sound like a broken record, but A Declaration of Civil Disobedience (http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34976) by Lendringser (Marko) really hit home with me, and that's how I've chosen to live my life.
What I have on my person is about as much anyone's business as what color my underwear is. It is irrelevant and no one needs to know.

I simply would not go there, and then I'd either write or call the manager, owner, whatever, and let him/her know exactly why I won't go there, and also make it be known that very soon EVERY gunowner I know in that area is going to be told, and they're going to tell other gun owners, and it's not going to be good word of mouth publicity for them.
Luckily, however, I have yet to find a place in Northern Virginia that has signs saying no firearms.
Restaurants that serve alcohol are a different matter, as that's a state law.

I actually used the exact same analogy against the person I was discussing this with. He replied that nobody is forcing me to ride in his car. To me, that makes sense.
So there, I just won't ride in his car, and wear my seatbelt in mine.

I don't do business with anti-Second Amendment bigots—and I'm not too shy to tell them so, either. If they want my dollars, they'll have to respect my civil rights.
