Schleprok62 April 21, 2008, 09:25 AM OK, there are those who say to "built it yourself, and save..." Well, I'm looking into this and I am finding it to be far more confusing than it probably needs to be. So, since I'm the confused '****... I ask: :banghead:
If "MilSpec" is "MilSpec" and all AR lowers are to be made of the same stuff, 7076 Aluminum, forged, not cast, Which ones are to be avoided, which are good, and which are GREAT!!!
and why? Please...
Thanks

lmccrock April 21, 2008, 10:14 AM Anything made by a company that sells complete rifles is a good start, but not the complete list.

strat81 April 21, 2008, 12:36 PM Avoid Vulcan, Hesse, and Blackthorne.
As for good stuff, off the top of my head...
Armalite, Bushmaster, Colt, Mega, Stag, LMT, Noveske, Spikes Tactical, Anvil Arms, Rock River, Essential Arms, DPMS
22_Shooter April 21, 2008, 12:45 PM 10% agree with Strat81, and to add, Anvil Arms will laser engrave anything you want on the lower if you order from them, for free (or for a small fee on a lower not from them). Some don't care for it, but if it's something you'd wanna do....
RockyMtnTactical April 21, 2008, 12:49 PM It's hard to pick a bad one these days. Stay away from old Olympic lowers and anything with Hesse/Vulcan stamped on it.
