Anyone know where or even if I can get a Marinecote barrel for my Mossberg 590 that is choked or will accept screw-in chokes? I feel like I've looked everywhere already, so please, any suggestions welcome.

You may want to see about getting the bbl threaded for chokes if you can't find a seperate bbl for it.

Google Havlin Sales.

If they dont have it, I dont know who would, and you're only option would be to have yours threaded.

I've been led to believe that the stock barrel is a little thin to thread for a choke. Probably the reason all of the choked 590 barrels I have seen are the 590-A1 model, which is thicker than the others.

Wow, I have a factory Mossberg 500a that came with some crazy sounding things called "accu-chokes", not really sure what they do but I heard you can screw them into the barrel at the muzzle end.

Maybe icecorps would be interested in purchasing it.

The "Accu-Choke" is an adjustable choke that is attached to the end of the barrel. With a simple twist of the choke (by hand), you can have any choke you want. This is essentially like the Poly Choke, but just a different brand.

You can't just take it off one barrel and put it on another without some serious machining work. Once it's installed on a barrel, it is pretty much a permanent installation unless you want to take a hacksaw and cut it off.

Accu-Choke is what Mossberg calls their choke tubes.

I was just joking around, I was letting him know that Mossberg does make model 500 barrels with choke tubes.

The issue is not whether or not Mossberg makes barrels with choke tubes. but do they make barrels with the "Marine-Coat" finish, with choke tubes. According to Mossberg, no they do not. You might try calling Mossberg directly and see if you can special order it if price is not an object.

The accuchokes are for sporting guns only. Their defense/LE guns aren't threaded for chokes. Not even an option.

I ended up getting the stock 590A1 barrel in it's standard finish. Thanks for the suggestions.
