Falfiles is down :(
So I'm attempting to remove the flash suppressor from an imbel parts kit, what a pain.
I'm using a 3/8" socket ratchet. Someone recommended using a propane torch to melt/vaporize the 20 yr. old caked grease and then unscrew the thing. How long do I heat it. Can I damage the barrel w/ light heating?

Remember, LEFT HAND THREADS!. Mine came right off, my buddy had to heat his. If you are using a propane torch it won't get hot enought to damage the thing. MAPP gas will and is what I used to put the new brake on with silver solder.

Now unfortunatly the entreprise zero climb that replaced it over times by about 100 degrees. Any idea for a quick fix that will last me til monday? (maybe locktite?)

What about a brass washer filed to the proper thickness?

The muzzle brake has to be permanently attached using >1100F melting temp silver solder or drilling and pinning to the barrel. Thats as per the ATF, no threaded muzzles allowed.
