Hey Guys new to THR got a ? need a scope mount for Kimber vz24 had a 40mm put a 50mm Had weaver 2pc bases not strong enough. I bought an ATI system but it.s too small any sugestions Thanks

I have used Weaver bases on everything up to .375 H&H, with nary a problem, for going on 50 years.

If Weaver bases won't hold it, nothing will.

Apparently something is wrong with the screw threads in the reciever or they have not been installed correctly?

Have you de-greased everything?
Used Blue Lock-Tight under the bases & on the screws?

After tightening down the screws with a fitted gunsmith screwdriver, give each screw a whack on the screwdriver with a small hammer, then tighten then some more.

Let the Lock-Tight cure 24 hours, and they should hold anything you can clamp on them.

I have done all the above and then some. These are 2pc bases and I'm putting a 4x16x50mm scope on it theres a lot of scope on top of the gun I'm having to use xtra high ring to get it off the barrel What I'd like is a one pc base or picatinny rail on top. I had a 3x9x40mm and it worked fine I "upgraded" and run into this I don't know about the.375 but I got a mossberg 695 12ga slug gun that eats weaver bases had to go to leapold mounts thanks
