I just noticed that the Rogers and Spencer revolver listed in Dixie Gunworks' website is now listed at $425.00 with the target model at $450.00. If memory serves me correctly this is over a hundred dollar increase in just over the last 3 months. I have noticed other sellers such as S&S or D&N Mercantile increasing their prices on the R&S. Does anyone know the reason for the dramatic increase? Is the R&S only a symptom of other massive increases in the cost of C&B revolvers?

The Dollar has fallen a lot in relation to the Euro and other currencies.

Yes, but even with a weaker dollar; the Dixie increase seems excessive compared to other retailers. Perhaps it is a problem with Euroarms that has cause such a drastic increase. I have been interested in this gun; but I won't pay $425.00 for any C&B revolver.

Seems pretty pricey.

Just looked at their site... sure enough.

.........I think Dixie's price hiking is more excessive than most, as I've pointed out on another forum. While others like Cherry's raised their prices moderately. At Dixie, the howdah sold for $525 (20x20) not too long ago. When they came out with the kit, I thought GREAT!, a chance to save! Wrong. The kit now goes for $525 and the whole complete gun got bumped to $650. Cherry's is $560 for the complete gun. I haven't inquired about the kit from them yet. I know about supply and demand, but it seems like Dixie is taking economic lessons from our oil companies.

Looks like Dixie upped some prices by about $100.00 per gun, especially on long guns. Guess I will be looking elsewhere, if I get anything more. :(

The Doc is out now.
