I only gave it a very cursory scan, but it's totally unclear who you're writing this to, and what it may be in response to. It's not possible to give a critique of your letter without any background.

I have the same question. This reads like a letter to the editor, and as such it isn't bad. I wouldn't make the direct accusations against the unions unless you can back them up.

Letter to what?

If it's a letter to a newspaper editorial page, it's too damn long. Choppy and disjointed too. Pick one concept, and run with it. Don't try to play every position in the ballpark at once.

Good points.
It's a Letter in response to all sorts of gun-control wrangling in Philly.
The slashing has begun.
Nevermind. I like the original, but will save it for another day.
