I have now been hunting Turkeys since Spring season last year. I have only spent about 6 days in the woods due to family and job. Anyway I went on opening day and saw/heard nada. Went yesterday and by 1/4 to 8am I had killed a 24 lbs 8 oz. Eastern Tom with a 9 1/4 inch beard and 2.1 cm spurs. It has two white striped tail feathers right in the middle of the fan. Turkey hunting is probably the most fun I have ever had hunting. I used to go deer hunting when I was a teenager and gave up all hunting until last year I can't wait to get more wildlife in my freezer. I am hoping to go hunt Rio's with a buddy in Okie in the fall.:D

Its on the list of to do's. My soon to be father in law and brother in law are still trying to get one themselves...that is the only one keeping them from the grand slam

Yeah, although I was hooked before I killed one.
