I'm my own party. I can't stand Democrats and both Republicans and Libertarians have various ideas that tick me off.

I am a member of the "ME" party, and as a result, I vote for policies that benefit "ME".

ALL politicians make me vomit! :barf:

Democrat, but the actions of the party leaders make me so sick these days I'm ashamed to admit it. I may go back to independent and be done with it.

By the way, you should have a "centrist" category.

closest match for me would be Libertarian.

Dems and Repubs are just two sides of the same statist coin.

Greens are beyond reason.

I don't always agree with the positions of the LP - but we at least start from the same set of principles.

I voted Libertarian but I am in between Republican and Libertarian somewhere and I am a registered Republican.

[S]o far the Libertarians have the Republicans outnumbers 3 to 1.…

But how many of those “libertarians” actually voted Republican?

Oops! Ready answered my question. :D

~G. Fink, may vote for a Republican in the California recall election :uhoh:

I'm registered "no party affiliation" and I vote based on issues, not party. My stance on issues, however, lies somewhere between Libertarian and Republican. I trust the government too little to be Republican, and I trust corporations too little to be Libertarian.

Radical libertarian is the polite way of phrasing it. :D

Conservative Democrat.

ala Reagon Democrats & Hardhats for Nixon. I voted for Pat Buchanin the last three elections.

I support unions, I support the 2nd Amendment, and I support our troops.

Anyway, I chose libertarian, as most of their social views are right down my alley, yet some of their economic policies I have a hard time swallowing.

I vote for or against individuals. Party label seems to make little difference.

If it's not in the Constitution, it's none of the federal government's business.

I'm independent but with Liberterian tendencies and generally vote Republican (just to keep the democrats out). BTW, our democrats are more left than your democrats. :neener:

I trust the government too little to be Republican, and I trust corporations too little to be Libertarian.

I like that. I am a Libertarian and I do vote that way. I don't fall into party line all the time but I hope Libs get into power and can moderate some of the isolationist views.

I saw Bush II referred to as a "Big-Government Republican" and I don't like that at all. I thought the republicans were for smaller government.

I'm, "to the right of Attila the Hun" but you left my category out. ;)

So I chose Libertarian, although I usually vote Republican (while holding my nose) to keep the Demacommies out.

The purpose of government is to:

1) Foster social justice and make sure everyone has a fair chance to succeed and live a happy, healthy life.
2) Lay down and enforce a basic code of conduct that we, as a nation, aspire to, and to protect us from those who would damage it.
3) Go away and stop bothering me.

You can guess which one I picked. ;)

Libertarian all the way.

Joe Demko
August 16, 2003, 02:31 PM
Independant. Dems and Reps are just two heads on the same control-freak hydra. Both make me suspicious in everything they do.
Libertarians put too much trust in corporations and the market as the solution to everything. I am too much in favor of such things as public education and food inspection to go along with their whole party line. Historically, the corporations also behaved just as badly as any gummint oppressors given the chance, as well.
I vote for the individual candidate who I disagree with the least in each election.

Another wild-eyed anarchist... punched Libertarian.

In 1972 I learned about voting for Republicans.

In 1976 I learned about voting for Democrats.

If you kick me once it's your fault. If you kick me twice, it's my fault.

Americans seem to have an infinite capacity to take being screwed over by Democrats and Republicans...all for the holy grail of "I don't want to waste my vote."

15% is nearly discribed as Lib.
85% is not discribed but if there was still a conservative Republican Party it would be that.
