Any truth to case twisting/turning???

I've seen a few place suggest seating the bullet about halfway, and giving the case a half turn... and then completing the stroke. I've seen sources that make no mention of this.

Yes, it works.
Especially if you have something slightly mis-aligned in the press, shell holder, die threads, etc.
I find it really useful with long bullets in straight side cases like the 45-70.
I don't do it normally with anything else though.
