I got an opportunity to shoot my new 629 PC Hunter Plus yesterday. Very impressive! I didn't think I would like the weight of that heavy barrel but it really did a good job holding back muzzle rise. I shot 50 rounds of 44 Specials to get the feel of it then switched to Magtech 44 Magnums, 1247 FPS loads. While there is a substancial difference in performance, I found both to be pleasureable.

I shot a total of 150 rounds yesterday, 100 of them being 44 MAGNUMS. There are not many 44's out there designed well enough to allow a shooter a 100 magnum rounds without pounding your hand into hamburger. Even my wife shot a good 18 Mag rounds without problems. This is one FINE revolver!
