Can anyone tell me if a barrel from the Savage Model 720/745/750 will work on a Browning Auto-5? I realize that some fitting may be required.

Probably not. One difference between the Remington Model 11/Savage and the Browning was the split ejector piece. The browning, typically, looks like 2 where the Rem/Savage is solid. You will see this piece at the end of the barrel extension (The part that goes into the receiver) It will stick out about an 1/8 ", or less.
