feets

I've got an Encore with three separate pistol barrels. They're chambered in 22-250 (mild recoil), 308 Winchester (not yet fired), and 460 S&W (ugly ugly recoil).
I understand the 460 has proven to be a scope killer. I've also heard complaints about breaking rings and mounts. This gun does not have the weight or muzzle brake of the S&W revolvers. Recoil is fierce.
I just purchased a Leupy VX-III scope. Will the Leupy one piece steel mount and a pair steel double dove tail rings keep this thing in place?
I've seen guys with three and four rings on their pistol scopes. That concerns me.
Which mount is stronger? Weaver or double dove tail? I was thinking that the weaver was not as strong, especially in aluminum.
It shouldn't really matter on the 22-250 but I'm a wee bit concerned about the strength on the 460.
