Taurus Millenium Pro opinions?

Had the pleasure to shoot my friends PT-140 last night, fell in love with the little sucker (shooting cans at dusk). I was impressed with the accuracy, flash, and overall fun of the little gun. Looks like it would be an excellent option for ccw...
On the downside the trigger was miserable (and this coming from someone who likes the DA pull of a Ruger P89).. and in 2 mags it had one failure to feed (bullet nosedived into the mag, made for a very ugly jam indeed)..
It's one of the older, original version, couple years old.
Did some reading up on the new "pro" line, did a couple searches on here, found some info where the posters claimed the new version had a much improved trigger.
Does anyone have some rounds through a new pro in 9mm or 40 S&W? I'm seriously considering one, but if the thing is a jam-a-matic no thanks. Spoiled by my rugers eat-anything attitude..
Seems like they are a "love 'em" or "hate 'em" gun, not many opinions in the middle of the road.
Thanks in advance,
Leo

Leo - Had a 9mm for a long time. Traded it in towards a Kimber, missed it so much I bought a new one. Yes, the trigger is awful compared to a 1911, but I found it to be a GREAT carry gun, very accurate, and neither of them EVER jammed! For the price, they are reliable, straight shooters and easily concealed.

I am one of those middle of the road people. But I got to handle one side by side with the original Millenium series and here's my impressions. Taurus improved the ergonmics, put on a larger safety lever (which it should not have anyway) and gave it a cosmetic make over. But the trigger pull was just as mushy as the original. Like flipping a circuit breaker. The Millenium Pro felt much better in the hand to me and pointed better. They are getting almost to the point that I would buy one. But I guess I will have to wait until the Millenium Pro II with the resdesigned the trigger (that's a hint Taurus).

I have a PT-145. Just got it last month. I like it ok. What I'd like to see is this: Forget about making the safety bigger, make it more positive. Make the slide release bigger and the take-down lever smaller. The problem with mine is that these controls feel the same and they shouldn't. Not sure I really care for the screw in sights, but have had no problems with mine. I compared a PT-145 (like mine) with a new Millenium Pro PT-145 at the last show. Very little difference. Even the magazines were interchangable (and I was told they would not be). I may pick up a Pro eventually, but they just haven't improved it enough to justify this. Now the 9mm and .40 look to be very much improved, even though they did make them a might bigger in the process.

I have a PT-145 Millennium Pro, purchased in June. It has a MUCH improved trigger pull from the older Millennium series, and the ergonomics and appearance both are much improved. Have had a few FTFs with it, but haven't shot it enough to consider it even partially broken in, yet.

Thanks for the info guys.. Went on a compact auto shopping mission (with the Taurus at the top of my list) on Saturday, the stars must have been aligned right, as I was mysteriously drawn to a S&W 4" 686 (smoking deal)... It's funny cause I'm not really a revolver guy?
The Millenium Pro is definately the next on my shopping list now, hopefully I'll get a chance to shoot one a bit before my next "shopping" mission.
The .357 is turning out to be a hoot to shoot though, although it's not exactly what I'd consider a perfect ccw piece :D
