Today, I was inroduced to the Parker-Hale cleaning jag.

Yowza, Owen Likes!

The Parker Hale jag is a cylinder that has been machined to have have an array of projection on the circumference. Instead of placing the center of the patch on the end of the jag, you roll the patch around the jag.

First time I get a chance, I'm going to order a few.

Been using them for years. They do a much better job of evening out the pressure of the patch on all surfaces of the bore instead of only having pressure on the two sides of the patch where it comes out of the eye of the jag. (I hope that's clear.) And they give you a much larger area in contact with the bore.
