How are they?
Anyone own some?
CDNN is selling some for cheap. Tempting...
Also selling off SKB Weatherby O/U's. Tempting, too, but not so cheap.

SKB makes a heck of a shotgun.

Oh I know. I have an old Ithaca SKB in 20 and it's my favorite field gun. Works great after 30 years.
The Weatherby version has a flat-sided receiver and a PoW stock. The Orion is blued, though. Very plain-looking, which is okay, but I rust my current blued receiver when I sweat on it too much (our dove hunting and some quail hunting is in desert heat up to 120 degrees). The Classic II is about $1100, with a gray nickel receiver, which isn't a bad price, but it's not a downright steal. Now the Athena Grade III is about $1450. That's a deal, if you want a fancied-up shotgun. I'm just short on cash right now...

I personally don't like the flat receivers compared to the usually SKB fenced receivers.

I don't know where you'd get a better O/U NIB for that much.

True, too, but one can sometimes find a new SKB 585 Silver for close to that.
Note that I have to pay an FFL $40-50 at best, plus the standard transfer fee, plus shipping, to have it shipped here.
Both companies are known for good, reliable shotguns, and you can get them built in any grade you want. Fausti is now in the hands of the daughters of the founder, and I could easily see myself marrying into the family :-)

I wonder about the Traditions imports that CDNN is selling. Some of them are $469.
