I'm wondering about this Remington 788 222. The 788's seem to be somewhat uncommon any more. This one does have the nine rear locking lugs. A very high rise front sight. As I have reserched in here, and from other people, it was discontinued because this cheap gun was out performing Remington's other higher priced models. What years were they made?
