what difference would that make? semi-auto weapons kill women and children just as dead as full auto ones. Only criminals, murderers, and body guards need those weapons of mass killing.

what difference would that make? semi-auto weapons kill women and children just as dead as full auto ones. Only criminals, murderers, and body guards need those weapons of mass killing.

The slippery slope argument that they use relies on arguments that start out sounding reasonably, and then they use their past arguments as a foundation.

"Only soldiers need machineguns."
"These scary, black rifles are nearly identical to those carried by our infantry, and are thus unfit for civilian ownership."
"Hunting rifles such as the Browning BAR and Remington 7400 may look different than an AR-15, but functionally, they are virtually identical. Hunters don't need dangerous hardware like this."
"Many popular bolt-action and lever-action hunting rifles share traits with banned rifles that need to be addressed, such as an excessive ammunition capacity."

There is no end. They don't want compromise, because after every bite, they keep asking for more. It's like the children's book (from way back when I was a kid, anyway): "If you give a moose a muffin... he'll want some jam to go with it."

They know. They don't care. All of the anti-gun groups front the same lie... "we don't want to ban all guns, just the dangerous ones." Yeah, they mean, "all guns".
