Hi all. I'm a new member here at THR. Formerly an occasional poster at The Firing Line. Have enjoyed the reading here for some time now.

Anyway, just put 100 rounds through my new PM40. Whew!!! That baby has some kick. Recoil is very similiar to a lightweight J frame with +p.

I usually carry a Pro Carry but the heat and humidity here lately has been awful. I wanted something lighter and easier to conceal with shorts and a t-shirt.... but still have a good whollop.

Oh yea, no failures of any kind in the first 100 rounds. I will let you know how it goes from here.

I will get some pictures ready and after 500 rounds give a full report.

Take care, Dan.

Love the design; accuracy is very good; good feel with the 6 cartridge magazine. The only issue I had was that it would feed that good and jammed several times with the first 50+ rounds. The 6 mag feeds better than the 5 magazine. Brochure says it takes about 200 rounds to correct issues and make it relaible. Okay, but don't know if I should contact Kahr and send back for repait or spend $100+ on ammunition to see if it reallt does correct itself and the gun is more reliable.

Nice to have a fellow FL poster stop in.

Glad to hear your PM40 is working out. I imagine that thing does have a bit of wallop. I have the PM9 and it is "snappy" but is easily managed.

The Kahr is a great form factor in a semi-auto for pocket carry with some horsepower.
