New Here

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the board. Actually saw my husband on, and started looking myself. I am the mother of 4 young children 6, 3, and 21 month old twins. I haven't been shooting long maybe a year. Never like guns, until an incident with my 5 year old changed my mind real fast, and after shooting I realized this is something I enjoyed, and that I could share with my husband who also enjoys it. I have a Ruger P90, which is my favorite, but I also enjoy my husbands Springfield Armory 1911a Mil Spec. I hope to be able to post often, and hope to learn alot more from everyone on the board.

Welcome to The HighRoad! I know you'll enjoy it here as much as we do.
Please keep your word to post often, because I have a feeling that your perspective on 'things' could be enlightening. We have several Moms on board and they never cease to amaze me with their sense and sensibilities. We even have one of the Mom persuasion as a moderator. We also have a Father and many fathers as well.

Welcome, Momto4luvs!
It sounds as though we have a few things in common. Though I never had twins, my husband and I did welcome five baby boys in less than six years (the oldest turned 6 a month after the youngest was born) and I well remember the blurred, hazy, frazzled feeling that only a houseful of many small ones can give! :D
It does get a lot less hectic as they grow, and (I think) a lot more fun. My oldest is 13 now and the baby is 7. We take them down to the range with us and they do pretty well. We're just enjoying the heck out of having kids big enough to do stuff with, instead of having them do stuff to us... ;)
Oh, shooting? I've been shooting about 3 years and carry a Glock 26 all day, every day. My take on child safety is that if my gun is on my hip, I know the little darlin's aren't getting into it in the next room.
Hope to see you posting here lots.

Welcome Momto4luvs! I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, though I doubt you'll have much time to stay and gossip like those of us whose babies are off at college. :D
My take on child safety is that if my gun is on my hip, I know the little darlin's aren't getting into it in the next room. Now if they could just make a childproof pill bottle that babies can't get into but old folks can...
