What's the best source/price on CR123 batteries?

I use www.batterystation.com for all my CR123's. Their house brand is made by Panasonic and has worked very well for me.

I think directly from Surefire is still the cheapest way to get them. Went to wal-mart the other day and they wanted $9 for one.

Isn't the best price, but Lowe's is a very convenient source for me. They have 2-pack Surefire CR123s for around five or six bucks.

*Never* get them off eBay.

BatteryStation.com is a reliable source (and cheap too) - their cells are made in the US, if that matters to you.

The folks at BatteryJunction.com are good to deal with too.

greenled, just curious as to why you would "*Never* get them off eBay.".
I list them there pretty much all the time, Never had a problem or unsatisfied customer.

no_problem, I can sell you these Panasonic batteries for $19.99 a dozen + 3.50 shipping.
Let me know if you are interested.

The Battery Station worked well with me when my wife's flashlight exploded from cheap chinese made batteries. They told me they were using RayoVac after that, very good stand up people.
Avoid ANYTHING marked Made in PRC, one of those completely destroyed my wifes Surefire Nitrolon G2, plus her fanny pack, and almost caught our bed on fire where it way laying.

I got a dozen of the Surefire CR123 from the Base Exchange on Peterson Air Force Base for about $14 if I remember correct. So you may be able to find them for that price through a military source.

Some are bashing ebay, but they are selling 4 rechargeable batteries and the charger for $12-20.

They're not bashing ebay. They're pointing out that you stand a chance of getting 123 batteries made in china and that the chinese batteries have a reputation for exhibiting somewhat dramatic failure modes.

Ebay is also rampantly anti-gun.

Hmmm... how many were you going to get and how fast do you go through them?

I buy Duracells at Home Depot. But then I don't burn through 10 a month.

FWIW, I only use 123's for emergencies.

All my 123 lights are running rechargeable Li-ions for EDC use. the money saved and the performance increase are both viable.
