There are so many holsters out that I'm confused on what I need. What is a good holster for an M&P .45 used mainly for taking gun with me from truck to home and back again? I would like it to be a good one for concealed carry also if I decide to carry with me, if that is possible.

What type of holster do you prefer? Inside or outside waist band? Leather, synthetic, or a combination?

How much $$$ are you willing to spend?

What characteristics do you most value? Looks, durability, ease of concealment, craftmanship, or some combination thereof?

You have to at least point us in the right direction of your preferences. Even after you do, the possibilities are endless.

One other question. What type of gun belt do you currently have? What size is the width?

I made my own kydex holster for my MP 45. Finally got something close to an Alessi CQC/S after many tries.

I prefer as much concealment that I can get in an outside the waistband holster that is synthetic and durable. As for my belt, it is just a leather belt I always wear about 1 1/4" wide by about 3/16" thick. The less I have to spend the better, $75 is about the max.

Buy a MTAC from Comp-tac, problem solved but it will run you about 85 bucks.
