We alway made our own.

Get a empty shoe polish tin, and empty itty bitty Tabasco bottles with gun oil, some patches and you are good to go.

Any good shoe repair shop, cobbler, bootmaker, should have all kinds of leather. You should have no problem finding something with choice of colors, size, and length.

Or, find a Tandy leather store, if they still exist.

All the farm & ranch stores in this part of the country sell latigo saddle thongs in 4' - 6' strips.

Just one would make a whole lot of saddle-ring thongs.
