Hello, I'm fairly new (five matches) to the fine sport of Highpower shooting competition. My usual club is finished running their 100 yd. reduced matches for the year. But, there's a couple around who still have a few match dates left this year, but they're the 200 yd reduced type.

My question: I have a good zero established on my GI type sighted CMP Garand for the 100 yd. reduced targets. How many clicks and what direction in elevation would I need to get me some what close to the center of the black on the larger 200 yd targets at that range using M2 ball and the six o'clock hold?

German Salazar over at Florida Highpower Shooting (http://forums.delphiforums.com/FlaHighpower/start) said:

The basic rule of thumb (for a .308) with a 100 yard zero is 2 moa to 200, 3 moa to 300 and 12 moa to 600. 2 to 2, 3 to 3 and 12 to 6. It works well enough for other calibers to put you on paper, more likely in the black.
... Those come ups are from each yard line i.e. 2 to 2 (from the 100) 3 to 3 (from the 200) and 12 to 6 (from the 300).

SBak,

Welcome to the "great addiction"..... M1 Garands.

Re come-ups.... up 2 clicks from 1 to 200 and you should still be in the 10 ring, if not still in the X-ring.

Best regards,
Swampy
