Sweeeeet!
No disparaging remarks about the woman, either.
Bonus points.

Nice!
We need to post that article far and wide.:)

Awesome. That is no-spin fair and balanced reporting.
Still, I hate how "registered firearm" sounds. Just me.

Good result but ....... yet again we have .. The woman's handgun was legally registered damn!! The media really pi$$ me off with this crap about ''legally'' and ''registered'' ...... sheesh!!
OK so she may have had legality to carry thru CCW but .... ''registered'' ...... oh my .......... :banghead: :banghead:

The woman, who was also armed, pulled her own gun and fired shots at Warren, striking him in the leg.
Hmmm. Any bets here? I'm guessing she was shooting a DA revolver. Low and to the right, hitting him in his left leg. That was a very common miss in NYPD studies back when they carried revolvers.
But a happy ending nonetheless. :D

Now based on all the laws MR badguy broke I wonder if the prosecuter will have the guts to charge him with EVERYTHING, if so he will never see the light of day again.
More than likely he will cop a plea and be back in the news in 5 years.

sadly this probably would have made more news if it had turned out differently......"mom and two children abducted, killed"
but im glad it turned out the way it did, and the reporting was fair, cant expect much better than that from the media.......good story

She drove home after noticing that she was being followed? :uhoh:
Guess someone should send her to a shooting and tactics skul.
Good ending though. :)

Maybe it should have said Illegally registered gun!

It sounds like she very well may have had a false sense of security, driving home, of all places. 'Not very tactical, in my estimation. It's always disturbing to hear about the goblin getting struck "in the leg" ... or any target for that matter. ;) BUT, how about we go to the link page and click on the "Contact 10" link on the left side, down at the bottom of the link list and let WAVY we appreciate the reporting.
They ask for a lot of unnecesary personal info to get your comment sent, but I did it anyway. Let 'em know. The other side does.

Odd. Very odd. I read some other shooting related stories on that site and they're all the same. A straightforward presentation of the facts.
Odd.
Isn't it sad that that's unusual?

Yes, it is (unfortunately) odd.
A god article through and through. (Like it or not, the question of whether or not guns are registered pops into the minds of millions of Americans, many of which would quickly argue against this woman's action in the case that her gun was not registered. That being the sad state of afairs, it is appropriate to see the author relay the fact about the registration as objectively as possible.)

Warren should have had more discretion and selected his victim on the basis of a MMM sticker. Instead of seeking a kitten, he found a lioness who defended her kittens.:D
