The nickel M-19 I saw was going for $275 but it was far from "like New". It was a little loose and had some wear. One like that would cost around $350-400 in my area.

Wow, great price.
I absolutely love those guns. IMHO, the 2 1/2" and 4" K-frames are the best fighting wheelguns ever made.
Why can't I find deals like that? :banghead:

"Right decent price."
What?
WHAT?
C.R. Sam says that any price paid for an S&W is a decent price?
I'm SHOCKED, Sam!
Here I thought that in order for it to be a good price (as in, he didn't get ripped off) the owner would have to give him the gun PLUS 2 oxen, a half-dozen sheep, 30 laying hens, and clear title to 100 acres of bottom land!

Personally I don't care for nickel but at $200, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. You did well. :)
BTW, a few years back I was offered a S&W M38 (aluminium frame shrouded hammer 5 shot j frame) that was nickel for $200. I snapped it up and love it.

Actually, in Southern Ohio, we like sheep.
They look great in a nice dress and heels!
Generally, though, the "R" and the "L" on those heels can be confusing to
them!
'Yes, Officer, I was really trying to help that poor sheep across the fence!'

That model 19 looks to be in excellent shape and I think it was a steal! Range report please.
