hello:

today i got a catalog in the mail from an online gun dealer, and it had this PA-63 (9X18) handgun for sale at $129 excellent condition with 2 mags, and my girl like it a lot because of the two tones...go figure... so i was wondering if is a good gun for the money, is not for personal protection or home defence, but to go out and have fun at the range, she doesn't too a lot maby 50/100 round every time, (once in a week or two)

The trigger pull is awful , especially in DA. The frame is weak and there have been reported failures. I don't think this would be a good choice for you stated purpose.

but, i needed some money so i sold it. i have kicked myself ever since for that to. the frames do seem to be a little soft, but not bad. the recoil is a little snappy, but not bad unless you have wrist problems. if she thinks she can handle it, buy it. its a great little gun. btw, if cci still puts out the gold dot hollow points for it, try them, mine love them.

Frame is aluminum, and often milled not-quite-right. Mags can be a pain to pull in and out. It's also a right-hand shooter, a complete no-go for a lefty, unless you get different grips. 9x18 is pricey. I load for my friend's PA-63 to keep the costs down. Accuracy isn't bad, but the sights are difficult to line up quickly on.

Probably the main thing I don't like about it is the way it beats the heck out of the web of your hand. I've been sore after a few mags worth and my friend had a blood-under-skin bruise after the hundred rounds we did in our CCW course.
If she wants something in that size and two-tone, maybe a Bersa Thunder in a 380 would be something she'd like. Only a bit more expensive, much more comfortable, and cheaper to feed.
