I recently aquired a 550b from my father. I am starting to reload 40 S&W and I don not know what is the number of the pins that go in the base plate. I know that you can use the same baseplate for 9mm, 38 super, and 40 S&W, but they use different pins. Also, do I have to get a separte powder tube or can I use the one for 9mm. Any and all help would be apprieciated.
Thanks

That chart tells you everything you need to know. Holler if anything else comes up.

The chart of what components are needed for each caliber is on the back page of the press's manual.

You should contact Dillon and ask them for another manual.

You can simply print off the appropriate Dillon manual here. :-)

Thanks for showing that link, RUT. I've been meaning to order a current manual myself. Manual for my 550B is printing now. Guess I ought to read it cover to cover and see if I can detect any differences from my latest - - Some four or five years old, which I got to update the original, from about 1990. ;)
Best,
Johnny
