Euroarms Enfield

I was looking at that BEAUTIFUL rifle just now, and see that on the Euroarms one, the rear sight is set to 800 yards maximum.

Do you think it would perform well at or around 800 yards?, minus 200 from my original goal, 1000. If it works reasonably well around 800, then I could probably work on some formulas and trial and error at the range to push it even further.

No grouping is needed, for now. I want to be able to hit steel silhouettes at 800, more or less with consistent one shot accuracy. Now it's just a question of whether the SASS regulations would allow percussion arms to compete, of course not with the BPCRs.

Are these the ones?
It says that the 1853 sights are regulated to 900 yards and the 1858 record holder is regulated to 1100 yards.
Either way, they both look very handsome.

Yes they are the ones:D

I was on both Dixie and Regimental Quartermaster. Regimental seems to sell them for a lower price, same beautiful rifle though.

The rifling on them is 3 grooves and 3 lands, with 1-72 twist though. If I want the UTMOST BEST accuracy, should I instead purchase a SMOOTHBORE EUROARMS Enfield and have it rifled myself in Alexander Henry or progressive target rifling?

Just thinking.

Barrel band in the euroarms are not preiod-correct, it has the band of the latest model never used in ACW and converted in mass to snider breech loading system!
Armi sport is more period correct, but the stock of both is too fat (last model) :)
The quality is around the same!
