Moore -N- Moore Sporting Clays is located in the San Fernando Valley (North/West Los Angeles, by the 210 & the 5) of CA.

The third Saturday of every month M-N-M holds their monthly tournament, and this month was no different. 88 shooters braved temperatures of around 200 degrees :) to shoot 10 challenging, but fair stations.

Now it’s not 10 stations like you’re used to shooting. Each one of their stations has an “A” and “B” shooting position. You shoot a single, a report pair and a true pair from position “A” and then the same thing from position “B”. You still end up getting 10 birds from each station; it’s just not 5 of the same pairs. I actually like this method better.

All of the machines worked. There was no waiting at any station. And the lunch they serve afterwards is one of the best meals I’ve eaten anywhere. It rotates between prime rib and roast pork loin, with all the “fixins”

After lunch awards and prizes were given out, with class winners getting really nice belt buckles.

All in all, if you live in the LA / Orange or Riverside county areas and you’re not shooting this, YOU SHOULD.

I forgot to mention, this a NSCA shoot. However, you can still shoot if you're not a member (like me). They just ask you what you normally shoot (high 60's to low 70's) and put you in the correct class.

I shot a 69. I could have won the damn thing if I'd have gotten a 36 on my last station :)
