Hello again

Grandpa pulled out his 2 32 specials tonight for their periodical cleaning/oiling, and we got to wondering what year they were made. He bought them new probrably in the late 40's.

one is probrably 99% hasn't had a full box of shells through it.Serial # 16895XX
the other is 95% with a Williams installed side mount scope on it. Serial # 16911XX

When were they made and do you have a rough idea of value, they won't be sold just curious.

Thanks again

Both were made in 1950. As they are apparently in excellent shape and so-called "pre-64" manufacture they'd have more then average value. If one has been drilled and tapped for a side mount that would reduce the value to a collector, but not necessarily to a hunter.

The price certain guns go fo varies in different parts of the country, but you can always scope-out auctions like www.gunbroker.com and www.gunsamerica.com and see what similar guns are going for.

Remember a gun made before 1964 will usually fetch more money, especially if it is in "almost new" condition.
