Today was most assuredly a good day :)

My PRC mandated 10 day waiting period was over today allowing me to go and take possesion of my brand spanking new Model 40-1 Nickel. The gun is about the nicest handgun I've held. My first non-blue handgun by the way. When I popped the case open in the shop everyone that was there started eyeballing it. They really perked up when I told them it's the one and only non-worm hole S&W revolver currently produced.

Once I was home I noticed a letter from the NRA got delivered today. Open up the envelope and bam! There's my brand spankin' new membership card (first time member).

Oh yeah baby, today is a good day :)

very nice, i saw a article in a mag a few months back and have trying to talk the wife into allowing me to get "another gun, its been 3 in the last 6 months" sorta thing. "but honey its so shiney, and common you know you will love to shoot it"

romeo, I paid $700 for it. That was the best price of all the local shops to me in Northern California.

Those of you not in CA will most likely find much better deals. Guns in CA are always more expensive...annoying but you get used to it living here.

I've heard of them as low as $500 outside of the PRC.
