I am recently retired and trying to get back into some of the things I used to enjoy. I have been out of black powder shooting for about 20 years. I was lucky enough to buy a Jonathan Browning Mountain .50 cal. rifle at an auction last week. I would really appreciate any information I can get on it. I plan to get into several phases of shooting sports but traditional muzzle loaders are my favorite as I used to build them.

I have vague memories of the Browning rifle.

Supposed to be similar to something the elder Browning would have made as John the younger was more interested in cartridge guns.

A nice looking rifle as I recall but I have no shooting experience with it.
