No fast draw practice here, all I managed to do was build a Lyman GPR kit :o
Thanks for the compliments, the metal finish is still a work in progress... it's difficult to get things to rust in West Texas :D The target shows the first seven shots fired from the rifle; the smaller three shot group was 50gr and the larger four shot group was with 100gr FFFg.
Clyde is a small town about fifteen miles east of Abilene.

Well, one was looking down his barrel 'cause it went "pooffffttt" instead of boom, and one decided to try our new sport of wood boring bee wingshooting and forgot to use cream of wheat, and I don't know what happened to the last guy....
(all fake pics folks of our shootouts...not those of who are buried in my back yard)

Building GPR's over the winter may become an Olympic sport - lot's of people seem to be doing it. Here's mine, finished just a couple of weeks ago. .54 cal, Herter's French Red on English walnut, dewhiskered three times, 4 coats of tung oil. Barrel & furniture were browned with Laurel Mountain, 8 coats, then polished with 0000 steel wool and rebrowned to get the antique cast.
As for GOC you old coot we have been waiting for you. So spill the beans whats up what have you been up to.
