Opinions of the following four..Beretta PX4 sub compact, Springfield XD-40, Walther PPS, and the Glock 27. All would be .40, VERY familiar with the Glock (23). Looking for a nice concealed carry pistol.

Welcome to THR. If you are very familiar with the G23 then why change platforms for CCW? Stick with the G27. Personally, I don't like the .40S&W round and stick with either .45ACP or 9mm for CCW. I've yet to see something the .40 can do that the .45 or 9mm can't, but I digress.;)

Agree with the poster above: If you know Glocks, and especially .40 Glocks, then maybe stick with it and get the Glock 27. Plus if you still have the Glock 23 (?) you can share its 13 round magazine with your G27, for higher capacity backup. ;)
If you don't like the stock grip on the G27, simply get an aftermarket pinky extension; the stock grip is still nice for concealing the G27 on your ankle, if you ever want / have to. ;)
And I'm sure you already know the enormous aftermarket product line and replacement parts line for Glock. XD doesn't have that... :uhoh:
Stick with Glock!
