I finally got a mold, the lee 2 cavity, .452 RNFP mold, 255 grain. They're coming out nice, but I've never cast anything but roundballs before. How do I fill the lube grooves??

One way is to set your bullets in a shallow pan, and pour melted lube into the pan. Warm the pan and bullets to about the same temp as the melted lube, pour it into the pan and let it set, then remove the bullets with a twisting motion. The next time, just put new bullets in the holes left by the previous batch and re-melt.
Of course the other method is to purchase a lube/sizer die.

The pan lube method works well for me. I use a beeswax/crisco/olive oil lube (homemade) and 2 or 3 of the cheap tinfoil cake pans to do more at once.
My first black powder .45 loads I hand lubed the boolit right before I seated it.

That sounds like a good way for me to do it. I loaded 6 by hand lubing them, just to test a cylinder full. They shot well and were accurate out of my SAA.
I'm hoping to keep ahead with these...Last two times I was shooting, we shot about 400 rounds each time, so I have a lot of casting to do now to restock!!

Who makes the lubrasizer? I may have to mix up some new lube too...I have a bucket full of my BP cap and ball and wad lube, but it's very soft and I think the 45 colt probably should have a more waxy lube.
I have plenty of beeswax and olive oil, any suggestions on a ration for 45 colt? Or should I buy the sticks of lube?

My lubrisizer is rcbs. lyman also sells one. you can always find them on ebay pretty cheap. maybe about 50.00. Basicly its a press you put in a sizing die.insert the lube in the back. screw down the plate to pressure the lube all the way down. put a bullet on the stand. Pull the handle down then up. Instantly its sized and lubed. with the lube grooves filled.
