Tis a sad day for me. I have tried to convice her of their flawless functioning and outstanding accuracy but she just isn't buying.

The next thing you know she will be bringing Glocks in the house. It always starts small with things like "Yeah I know the Walther is a plastic gun but it's still a German gun." Then it's "But the SW99 compact is really just a tiny little brother to the Walther and I love the feel of the Walther and the Walther is really a German gun."

It can only lead to one thing.........a Glock. I am beginning to think the Walther P99 was a gateway gun.:D

Sorry I was just bored and I got to thinking how it is funny how people can find two things so completely different and how when we ask each other for advice it is funny how everybody has something that works for them but couldn't imagine a carrying a gun that works for somebody else.

I was just musing. It always amazes me that two people can have such wildly differing opinions without either being wrong.

Look on the bright side...at least your SIGs are safe. When I let Robin try out the P232, she really liked it, and now I have to contemplate getting her one just like it.

i have a similar problem with my husband. he loves revolvers. i hate them. i love autos. he likes autos, but he doesn't really like any of the same ones i do. he also wants to bring home a glock. grrrrrr.

Glocks are starting to get outdated as far as plastic fantastics go.

P99 type guns are the plastic wave of the future.

No, she loves the P99 and the feel of the smaller SW99 compact. I was just joking that I was sad I couldn't bring her over to the SIG side.

I was just making a joke about the plastic P99/SW99 being a gateway gun to the Glock.

I've never handled or fired a SIG but Glocks just don't do it for me. And I took an oath that I would never buy a plastic gun. I am a confirmed 1911 lover. Then one day I happened to see sitting at the local dealers shop a P99 in the case. Needless to say I got it (should have seen the tap dance I was doing for the wife :uhoh: ) and am quite pleased with it. But when all is said and done, the one I reach for is old slab sides.

I had a plastic Walther also once. I was 6 years old and squirted everyone in range with my Yellow P38. Now I have a green and blue 1911 used to discipline the cat. And thats as far as plastic guns go in my house :)

Are Glocks microwave safe?? ;)
