Anyone know of outdoor gun ranges near Houston, TX? Or maybe an indoor range near south Houston?

If you are looking in south/central Houston, American Shooting Centers is nice. It's in George Bush Park, Westheimer just west of Eldridge. Out 290 is Hot Wells. Can't off the top of my head remember the exit....sorry. In north Harris county is Carter's Country, on Treaschwig north of 1960.
For indoor shooting, Top Gun, down by the Galleria.

Outdoor range
American Shooting Center (http://www.amshootcenters.com/)
ASC is a great place to shoot.
Hot Wells is cheaper but dingy. Went once, won't go back unless I have too.
South Houston indoor range
Top Gun (http://www.topgunrange.com/)
Top Gun Range is nice but you pay by the hour and no magnum rounds.

It's not an outdoor range but, I had an excellent experience at this place:

The thing that was most noticeable to me is that all the sound deadening they've done was incredibly effective. At other indoor ranges I've been to, wearing ear muffs alone can get a bit uncomfortable, especially when people start shooting rifles or big caliber handguns. When I went to this range, I finally got to try out my Peltor Tac Sport ear muffs WITHOUT wearing ear plugs as well. It worked very well and was not uncomfortable at all. Anyways, as far as indoor ranges go, it was a pleasant experience and they are a good group of guys as well.
