I got to take my wife to the range today for her second handgun shooting experience. We have a 2 year old and a 7 month year old so it's tough for us to go to the range together. In fact, the only time in the last two years we've been alone together was the her first trip to the range about six months ago. Last time she shot a Browning Buckmark and a snub nose .38. Today she got to try out a Keltec PT32 (my neighbor's), a CZ82, and a Sig P6. She didn't take a liking to the Keltec because of the double action pull every shot. Did enjoy the CZ82 though and LOVED the Sig which I barely got to shoot because she hogged it the whole time.:eek:

I couldn't be prouder of her for trying her hardest to learn how to load and safely handle each gun. Her patience and a few tips from me had her shooting better than most of the other folks there. It took her about 20 minutes to fire two mags through the Sig but aside from 3 strays she did amazingly well.

Sorry to be such a braggart but I am so very proud of her!!!!!!!!!! :D

That's great! Keep encouraging her, there's nothing like a women that knows how to defend herself. I've managed to get my wife to the range once. But I'm in the same boat as you with kids. I believe that when a couple have a common hobby it helps the relationship. Gives them something to talk about, other than the normal day. My wife has asked to go back to the range, but we haven't had the time. Gonna try for this weekend. The only problem you'll have now is her eyeballing your guns.:uhoh: My wife has already made the comment about HER chrome .357. :( I said go buy your own. She'll probably want a matching set. You know how they are with shoes!
