Hi Im presently doing an evaluation of some of them and working one up for manufacture..its got a different twist to it so to speak..

The AWCs though are the cadillacs of the lot and they are nice people too.

IMHO stay away from the $1000 integral units unless you have the money to burn. Is easier and less expensive to get a muzzle mounted unit, have seen many under the $300 range. The integral units are more efficient and a little quieter, but the muzzle mounts are just as good and portable between guns.

While I have nothing against the folks at AWC, from what I have seen lately their designs are a bit dated. Good, solid, dependable units but the engineering is not exactly cutting edge technology. From what I have learned lately Gem-Tech and SWR are currently at the top of the field. There are several quality manufacturers to choose from and many are small shops most of the title 2 consumers never hear about.

The staff of SAR is supposedly in the stages of writing a report of some sort on suppressor comparisons. They occasionally have reviews on suppressors. They have also had issues dedicated to suppressors and associated technology. They have a listing of all their articles at their website www.smallarmsreview.com . Take a look at that and if you see an article that looks interesting let us know. I have all issues and can pull out the relavant information or photocopy and paste or email.
