Breda shotguns?

Gun shop near me has a Breda brand auto shotgun for $150. Never heard of that brand, but according to the shop owner, they were made in Brescia Italy, and Breda supplied weapons to the Italians during WW2 (the big one).
What's the deal with Breda? Is it even worth thinking twice, or should I just stick with the 870's and 1300's with which I am familiar.

Sounds ok, but parts may be a problem, you may want to pass. I have a rifle made by Breda, a Greek Mannlicher/Schoenauer .

If you're okay with getting whatever you can out of this shotgun go for it. If you've already got other guns and you want to give it a try, sounds like a good thing.

The Breda auto is a recoil operated shotgun and if in good condition will serve you just fine for that kind of money.
Friction rings from the Browning A5 can be adapted for use on the Breda , but other parts are hard to find. The bolt return spring struts are often found broken in these so that is one area to check prior to purchase.
