Robbers invade county prosecutor's home (Olympia,WA)

THE OLYMPIAN
Ed Holm, Thurston County Prosecutor, was the victim of the second home invasion burglary in as many days in Olympia.
The Thurston County Sheriff’s Department is investigat-ing the attack this morning.

The invasion follows a similar one that occurred in Olympia early Sunday.

Intruders pistol whipped Cecil Pritchard, 85, a World War II veteran, in his State Avenue N.E. home while de-manding cash, jewels and other valuables. The intruders held a gun to his wife’s face and threatened to kill her.

Investigators say the cases are similar in some respects.

Unlike the Olympia break-in, however, Holm, his wife and three children were not hurt when early-morning invaders entered their home through an open door shortly before 5 a.m. Monday.

Lt. Brad Watkins of the sheriff’s department said Holm and his wife were sleeping when the lights came on in their home in the 7400 block of Puget Beach Road N.E. in unincorporated Thurston County.

A man with a pistol standing at the foot of the bed de-manded they lie on the floor and they complied. The couple’s three children, two sons and a daughter, slept through the invasion and woke only when officers arrived later.

The couple saw two intruders but thought they may have heard other voices. In all, the intruders spent between 20 and 30 minutes ransacking the family home and left with wallets, credit cards, a TV, computer, jewelry and three long guns. Ed Holm’s county ID, identifying him as the county prosecutor, was in one of the stolen wallets.

“We have no information that prior to this home inva-sion robbery the suspects knew whose home it was they were breaking into,” Watkins said.

I know this is 2003 but sometimes I feel the need for oldtime justice. :fire:
Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that

Pistol whipping a WW II vet? The scum should be sent to TX so he can be dragged by a pick-up truck through the sage brush. Naw, forgot there's desert in Eastern Washington. That's closer. Naw, keel haul in shark infested water instead. What the barnacles don't get, Jaws will.

The notion of a "correctional system" is a misnoymer. It should be called "jail" or "prisons" or "penal system." We're not going to waste our time correcting anything. Rather, we're going to punish for poor behavior. Pistol whipping an old man is reprehensible. These predators need to be removed and a bit of "Islamic" law applied. Buh bye right hand.

I can't help but smile with I think of the mopes getting home and going through the stolen wallet.

"Yo, Ray-Ray, what this be?"
"You, check it, Razor, it's the identification card of the County Prosecutor?"
"Wonder why come the County Prosecutor left his wallet at this dude's house?"

entered their home through an open door shortly before 5 a.m. Now there's a monumental bit of stupidity... How did this guy get to be a lawyer?
