Well, I stopped fighting the urge and bought myself a SAR-2 at the funshow last weekend. I'm pretty stoked. I've spent the last three days going through the various boards. I'm waiting for a shipment of rounds to come though from Dan's. I still have a question, though. I know a lot of folks like to dress up their SARs. What is the preferred method of attaching an AK-74 muzzle device? I know the appropriate method is using a Romanian threaded front site block, but since K-var is out of them what other options are there? Could I use a Bulgarian front site block with a Bulgarian muzzle device? This and any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Brownells offers a threaded muzzle attachment that is affixed to the barrel with set screws. It is threaded for most popular AK-47 brakes. Search the www.brownells.com site and I'm sure it'll turn up. The key with any of the set-screw attachments is to make sure that they are  really:rolleyes: attached to the barrel. Things attached to gun barrels tend to become unattached in a hurry unless they're seriously screwed on.
