I came across some .50 BMG for 2.40 cents a round, about 200 rds linked. I have a new Barrett 82 CQ (and I am new to the .50) and I am looking for a little more information on this round. I know it is Twin Cities brass but it looks like the projectile has been turned for a crimping groove about an eighth of an ich below the "factory" (?) crimping groove.

Is this a common practice and what else should I look for to tell if it is reloaded ammo and not surplus? Is this a decent deal?

If it truly is 1945 TW, it is corrosive primed.

If the primer is still crimped in place, it is the original primer.

Can you post some pics? What kind of projectiles? Most likely this is reloaded, but there were several companies doing it and some were OK, some were not. Any tags in the can?

It's not a bad deal considering that most .50 ammo is selling for $3 each depending on where you look. If you live in an area where you can fire API, Allied Armament is having a sale on it.

A picture would help, is there primer sealant, double hit on the staked in primers? What color are the primers, silver or brass?
