Nosler 140gr BT, Rem Brass, Federal #150 primers, 42.1gr Varget, OAL: 3.330"

Are you sure about your primer? Federal #150 are Large Pistol Primers not Rifle primers.

Looks good. What do you like about Varget?

I just loaded my first batch of .280 Rem - with 140 grain Prvi Partizan 140gr PSPBT (http://www.grafs.com/product/194777) bullets and Hodgdon 4895 (4 bullets each in a range of .5 grain increments from 42.5 grains up till 44.5

Hope to get out this weekend to shoot them.

If varget works for you than great but, I think your velocity will suffer as 280 has an ideal burn rate of around the 4831's or Reloder 19 or 22? Please get back to us on a range report.

Last batch was 51.2gr of H4350 with all other components the same.

Why Varget? Well, it was suggested, and seeing how it's my favorite powder for the 7mm-08, I thought it just might be worth trying in the .280. - (and i ran out of H4350, and had some brass leftover...

I'd agree, I shot my own .280 into it was well past "eroded" and never used anything faster than IMR-4350. That Varget works great in the .308 and 7-08 is actually an indication that it will be less than ideal in the .280 and while it'll likely do "OK" in some way, I think you'll really like the results you'll get with slower powders.

aww heck guys... you're spoilin' my moment... :( I thought these would do ok... knowing it's not THE powder to use... although, I did like the H4350 batch... a lot!!

Thanks for the comments, and I will post up some range results as soon as I have'em...
