A Pin gun the size of a pin would be pretty darn small!
You must mean Pen Gun.
Anyway, I have no information about one marked 1966 with no other markings.
But they have been made off & on for many years by various makers, even though they are illegal in the U.S. unless registered.
Be warned that if it can be fired while still configured to look like a pen, it is illegal under current BATF rules. Under federal law "Gadget-type firearms and `pen' guns which fire fixed ammunition" are classified as an "Any Other Weapon" (AOW) under the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA) and come under the NFA's strict licensing and registration regimen.
There is currently one made called the "Stinger" pen gun that is legal, but it won't fire until it has been hinged in the middle to be shaped like a handgun.
If yours looks like a pen, and can be fired in that configuration, it is an AOW in the eyes of the law.
